The 13 Days of A+ is upon us!

Every year, as we’re taking stock of the fact that this website is still on the internet — in whatever state it might be in — and that we are still. In fact. Here. And there’s one major reason that Autostraddle still exists, and that’s you, A+ member! So, now, for the FOURTH year in a row, we are bringing you 13 consecutive days of A+ content, starting today with an anonymous sex diary, publishing at 10am PST / 1pm EST.

But there’s more!

As has been tradition, because what are queer people if not folks who make our own traditions, we are going to be opening another A+ Pop-Up Discord Server, starting at approximately 1:30pm PST / 4:30pm EST tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th. And, yes, we’re going to have some activities.

The 13 Days of 2023 A+ Pop-Up Discord Schedule:

Thursday, December 14th, 4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST: Discord Opens

You’ll get an email, there will be a post, and we shall all run in together!

A Very Merry Carol Watch-a-Long with Drew Burnett Gregory

Thursday, December 14th | 5pm PST / 8pm EST

Join Autostraddle senior editor and lesbian film buff Drew Burnett Gregory in a re-watch (or first watch! You do you!) of the movie Carol, a lesbian Christmas movie starring two famously straight actresses. Bring your snacks, your drinks, your access to the Carol movie on whatever device you’ll be watching along on, and your typing fingers.

How this works: we all gather in the Discord server, which is like a chatroom. At the appointed time, we’ll have a countdown, and then we all press play on whatever device we are individually watching Carol on at the same time. And then we all talk together and with Drew throughout the movie! Fun will be had!

Gift Wrapping and Chatting with Motti

This is not Motti.

Friday, December 15th | 11am PST / 2pm EST

Join us for a streaming situation where Motti, who is not only very funny and the For Them communications lead, but also a Very Good Gift Wrapper, will show us all the art of putting objects inside of decorative paper. This is also happening inside of the Discord server! There will be AI captioning to the best of our abilities for this.

App Reader Beta Hours

Unfortunately, there were no GIFs of Gay Furry Hackers.

Monday, December 18th | 1:30-3:30pm PST / 4:30-6:30pm EST

Join For Them’s COO Em and also me, Nico, as we give you access to the in-progress version of the Autostraddle app reader — which will be how A+ members will be able to access an ad-free reading experience! Yay! We’ll be present during these hours to walk you through the login steps and to field any questions or thoughts you might have. Yay!

Monday, December 18th, 3:30pm PST / 6:30pm EST: The Discord Closes

It will be time to say see you later — but not goodbye!

Thanks, always, for being here with us, for being awesome, for keeping things gay. I’m fucking delighted to be able to celebrate with you during the final days of this year!
