“To L and Back” Gen Q Podcast Episode 108

We regret to inform you that Bette Porter will not be mayor of Los Angeles. But at least we have a jam-packed episode of “To L and Back“! We discuss the finale and the entire first season of The L Word: Generation Q with special guests Riese and Carly who you may know from such things as hosting this podcast.

Couples break up, couples get back together, and there’s a sex scene so good one of us may have called it “the best L Word sex scene ever.”

It’s been a great season and we can’t wait for the gay-os to continue! Until then we’ll be asking one question: FINLEY OR DANI?? FINLEY OR DANI??

My Notes:

+ Jay Jackson is always playing a newscaster, because Jay Jackson used to be a newscaster
+ Okay, everybody, weigh in. What do we think are the astrological signs of the new characters? Do you agree that Sophie is a Capricorn or am I just projecting myself onto my favorite of the newbies?
+ Turns out there’s a place called Air Hollywood and that’s where they shoot airport scenes!
+ My final Q word of the season was Queen Kristina, because I’d just watched The Girl King, but honestly Queen Christina with Greta Garbo is a better version of the story even if it’s less explicitly gay
+ Thanks for listening to the Gen Q episodes of To L and Back!

  1. I’m also from KC, and was just as excited Analyssa to see it represented because as she said: we get nothing.

Can also confirm the Buckle challenge was a real thing cause my friends and I did it to at the Independence Mall.
