Happy March, little ducks! Welcome to the fifteenth issue of the A+ Bee. This issue we introduce a new comic by Heather called Laura and Luna! We hope it teaches you many lessons on the dos and don’ts of gayhood. Don’t forget to send us things! We are eagerly awaiting your contributions to the Bee. It is, after all, a community newspaper, so we can’t do it without you!

  1. Intersectionaquiri. I mean, casual misandry is fun and all, but if it’s all for seriousness I need to take intersectionality. Preferably a strawberry one.

  2. I think we shouldf just stay at this bar for a while and get drunk on both these cocktails.

  3. I vote for the intersectionaquri, but as my name is Laura maybe you shouldn’t trust my goofusy vote…

  4. Laura and Luna speak to me in a deep level.

Laura is the type of person who has their birthday at a horrifying straight bar and will get exceedingly pissed off if you don’t attend “it’ll be so much fun!” she insists.

  5. I feel like I deal with so many Laura’s in my life, especially at work, especially with the phone call thing. WHY DO WE HAVE TO TALK ON THE PHONE?!

  6. Laura and Luna is everything. Love it.

I’m sitting here trying to decide which drink is gonna get the job. It feels like a really serious life choice all of a sudden. Can I have both while I decide?

@alarae, I will totally watch The Lion King with you. I’ll bring tissues.

  7. Intersectionaquri, for sure. Also I definitely have a paper due tomorrow about the social origins of the progressive movement in America at the turn of the century and basically just spent seven pages talking about the importance of intersectionality in politics. I live the high life. I am considering listening to that playlist while I finish, though, it looks very motivating.

Also I am loving the new comic an awful lot (Like in those magazines I read when I was a kid, and it’d be like “Johnny gets up from the table without busing his dishes” and then “Joshua bused his and his parents’ dishes, and washed them too!” They were supposed to teach you how to be a well-behaved human and all but mostly I just noticed that Joshua or whatever the name actually was had way less cool hair than Johnny.)

    • I mean it wasn’t Johnny and Joshua, it was Goofus and Galliant, but I just finished writing a paper and I’m a big hung up on J-words at the moment

  8. I’d probably get grumpy and say I don’t drink alcohol, but if they could make me a mocktail I’d be very pleased. :)

  9. Laura and Luna: brilliant
    Climb every mountain graphic: gorgeous
Alaina: i 100% agree about the comment session here!

  10. I need a Luna in my life…PS you’re all invited to my house to watch the lion king and drink an intersectionaquiri! (ALSO AUTOCORRECT JUST CHANGED THAT TO INTERSECTIONAL SQUIRT????? Whatcha trying to tell me iPhone???)

    • (The maze is really hard this month? I hope it’s not a metaphor for Ellen and Portia because I need them together forever)

  11. Helen Reddy thought she could make me forget her HBIC on Pete’s Dragon days by hiding her HBIC anthem on this playlist. But she could not!

  12. My main takeaways: Gonna remember that joke. Needing time to find the perfect emoji is something I truly struggle with. I’m glad that issue has been validated in comic form. Why isn’t there a museum that’s ALL oil paintings of things from Instagram? There should be.

And, finally, while I was reading this article, this ancient CD player/alarm I’m trying to fix for someone (and thought I had) suddenly started playing the Joan Baez CD that was in there, which seems like it should somehow connect to the Leslie Knope playlist.

  13. However, I can’t have either drink because I don’t…all I’m going to do is end up on the bar floor, covered by a very handy cloak* that’s hiding me from the many beautiful beings there.

[Substitute *cloak for *social awkwardness* and it’s fairly close to the state of my real life]
