Project queers unite!
For this Valentine’s day, I thought we could talk about ~PASSION~ specifically the kind you might have for your latest woodworking project, the homemade jam you just sealed in a jar, or the poetry you’re writing. In other words, we want to hear about your Passion Projects, the things you are doing that you’ve fallen head over heels for, and then we want to share them all in a special A+ gallery right here on this very website on February 14th — complete with your social media handles so that you can follow and be followed by folks with shared interests (or completely divergent interests — you do you). Send us your projects no later than February 10th! You have one week! Submit your projects here! I am personally looking forward to seeing everyone’s projects with immense excitement so I hope that if you’re on the fence and you think, “Hm, should I do this?” that you then think “Nicole would personally be elated if I did!” and then you do!
A Very Short FAQ
What counts as a passion project? What if I’ve just started? What if I do it professionally?
This is in the eye of the beholder, A+ member. The key is to look inside yourself and ask: am I passionate about this? Can it be construed as a project? I’d say, if it’s something you do that requires some kind of work or action on your part (so not solely consumption) and you might describe yourself as loving it, then it counts! We’re trying to be expansive queers here. Let’s not limit ourselves before we get started!
Will you share these photos or entries outside of A+?
Nope! We will not. However, do keep in mind that we do not actively vet A+ members, so anyone who is willing to give us their information could sign up and view this if they want to.
What if I have multiple projects I want to submit?
Let’s say that everyone can submit two if they want! Can you pick two? Just fill out the form twice to do this and put a little note in your “about the project” section telling me that you have two entries, please!
