This Sunday, April 3rd, the movie we’ve all been waiting for will finally have its world premiere. Yes, that movie. The full-length one starring written by and starring Brittani Nichols! And starring Jasika Nicole! And directed by Carly Usdin! And executive produced/shot by Robin Roemer! It’s Suicide Kale, and as you can see, it was created by everyone you’ve ever loved. It will screen on closing night of the Queer Hippo International LGBT Film Festival in Houston, Texas.

Suicide Kale is the story of two couples — Billie Steinberg (Nicole) and her wife, Jordan (Brianna Baker); and Jasmine Rawlings (Nichols) and her new girlfriend, Penny Fisher (Lindsay Hicks) — whose vegan brunch is wrecked when one of them finds a suicide note. It’s sweet and sad and funny and so fucking real you’ll be squirming around in your seat half the time, I promise you. Also, there’s an adorable dog and no one dies!
