This happens to me quite frequently and I never know how to respond! I’ve had girls in high school say “Every time I see you you’re smiling… why?” and the only thing I could think to say is “Why does there have to be a reason?”
The rule isn’t “there has to be a reason.” It’s “no matter the amount of smile on your face, someone will criticize it.” I like your response though! Happy Saturday to you and your beautiful face!
