Happy day after Halloween! (It’s Halloween right now as I write this.The Stevie Nicks costume is about to come on). It’s been incredibly hectic around these parts, so apologies for the short post this week. I managed to sneak away from the craziness for a day to go somewhere I’ve always wanted to go: Sleepy Hollow! It’s a real town and it’s in upstate New York and it’s so awesomely bizarre. There are literally headless horsemen all over the place (the high school sign was like “Home of the Headless Horsemen!”) We happened to arrive just in time for the block party, which obviously included a children’s dance group dressed like skeletons dancing to “Thriller” AND some aerial dancers swinging from a crane. Are your block parties like that? Mine certainly are not, and I’m not sure why. There were apple cider doughnuts (are you tired of hearing me talk about these yet) and bourbon spiked cider and a good time was had by all. At night we went to the Philipsburg manor, turned haunted with some kind of cornfield maze where people pop out at you every second. I stayed strong. One scream. One scream only.

So, like I told you….this week was cray. I don’t think I made dinner once. In my defense I planned a pumpkin carving party and did a whole lotta craftin’.
