League of their Own, the movie, sounds about right
So I was trying to get Blue Crush (I’m too old to have Michelle Rodriguez in board shorts as my root but still, that look is seared into my brain) but I got Bend it Like Beckham. A movie I never actually watched but the description is actually pretty accurate:
“You’re funny and fun and your gayness grew in a resplendent garden of homoerotic friendships. Everybody likes you but you can’t ever tell if they’re flirting with you.”
Whip It. This was literally the film that popped into my head when I saw the title of the article.
perfect~
Did I perhaps massage my answers to get Bend it Like Beckham? Who’s to say.
Did I get Bend it like Beckham? Of course. Early 2000s Keira Knightley was very important to my gay development.
My first thought when I saw the title was “But I’m a Cheerleader”… I guess that one doesn’t really count as a sports movie because there’s not a lot of actual cheerleading in it?
Anyway, I got A League of their Own in the quiz, which is pretty accurate.
I got Stick It, a movie I haven’t actually heard of before but am definitely going to watch now!
Bend it like Beckham which is highly accurate! Still wish Jess and Jules could have been a thing. We know women’s football is full of gays ha ha.
Personal Best, a sign I have to finally watch Personal Best!
