Do you feel comfortable using a computer? Have you reinstalled your operating system yourself? Rooted your phone? Or are you very interested in learning more technical stuff, padding your resumè with valuable hands-on experience and helping Autostraddle grow during a super-exciting time?
I’m looking for an intern to help with anything from stripping out HTML from posts to adding new email groups. Mainly it’ll be fairly basic technically, but it can get more intense if you’re up for it.
Intermediate HTML/CSS experience preferred.
Please send me an email and tell me why you’d be interested in this, a little about your background with tech, and roughly your availability of hours now through the next 6-12 months. I am located in Portland and therefore for optimum collaboration opportunities would prefer an intern located in the Yukon, Mountain, Pacific, Central, Eastern or Atlantic timezones. Quick availability/turnaround would also be ideal.

I wish I had a clue but I don’t.
That said, I love the word NUBILE. It’s so sexy.
it’s a great word
I know it’s only been a few hours but I hope the email response is better than the comment response. Hm.
well i think in general that maybe the tech people probs aren’t as chatty in the comments as writers would be?
also maybe people are superstitious? when i applied to be an editor i told NO ONE because i’m anxious like that.
Seconding Vanessa on this situation.
Yup. I told my girlfriend and that is all.
Or are less excited about internships because of how the fields work.
Also hey there’s totally tech people commenting all over this site. :) We’re just not always useful. :-P
I sent this to all of my nubile, queer tech savvy friends! They’re on it!
I’d post to internship sites like: http://www.internships.com/
Good luck!
and maybe add that as an intern, you get to be bffs with Grace. Just saying.
Well I’m on the other side of the atlantic, but i am learning html currently anyway…
Just sent you my email!
I’m computer illiterate, but I completely adore Cee. And I know how to deal with Eastern Gray Squirrels.
Thanks guys! There’s a ton of applications, I think you’re right about maybe tech people not being huge into commenting. I know I’m not myself. I’ll weed through them in the next few days. I’ve been busy moving Autostraddle’s email servers around.
Also, Digger – thanks for the compliments :) I installed a one-way-trap on the hole in my roof so hopefully the squirrel problem is a thing of the past!
Oh god I’m trying to kid myself I’d ever have a chance but I’m so young and British and I feel so inexperienced even though I’m not really.
On a different note, I am really excited about all these new changes :)
