Can you believe it? I almost can’t. It’s been so long. In the months since the last episode I’ve cut my hair three times, written for an actual television show, tried Gimme Lean ground beef style veggie protein, and started playing Candy Crush on my first ever smart phone. No one cares about that stuff but hopefully you care about the 6th episode of this here webseries.
WORDS WITH GIRLS is a mostly scripted but part improv comedy webseries that focuses on 20-somethings in Los Angeles. When they’re not busy navigating “the scene” or jumpstarting their careers, these women do what the young, gifted and bored do best: shoot the shit. The episodes showcase the friendship and witty banter of a few women that happen to like women. Word to the Bechdel Test.
In “Beard,” Lauren (Lauren Neal) is being endlessly pursued by a straight guy (Quincy O’Neal) and tries to enlist the help of a friend (Sarah Sokolski) to get out of said situation. Awkwardness ensues.
