i swear Margot Robbie is doing more and more queer roles/wants her characters to be queer
Maisie Williams is playing Blu Hunt’s love interest in The New Mutants?!? And Blu Hunt’s character is queer and indigenous too?! I am not really an Xmen fan but I feel like I need to watch this now.
Finally watched it today as well after being discouraged by lukewarm reviews earlier, but I really enjoyed it.
“Happiest Season, a rom-com about queer joy.”
Right, this settles it. I definitely accidentally accessed some kind of secret Director’s Cut of Happiest Season. The Abject Queer Misery Director’s Cut. Because there’s just no way all the people who keep writing stuff like that about it saw the same movie I did.
I agree. Now, I haven’t seen the movie yet because it doesn’t sound particularly romantic or comedic. It sounds awful and I don’t think I want to watch it.
Plus I already saw a movie with the same plot/different (less famous) actors and it was not enjoyable. I’m not expecting much better here.
sigh. i wish i could be cool with Whoopi Goldberg again. her career starting one-woman Broadway show was amazing. sort of like the ‘Nanette’ of its time.
happy that Rosie is having another moment :)
hoping that the universe realigns once Netflix’s embargo on ODAAT runs out and cbs all access can rereboot it.
america chavez? on MY silver screen? it’s more likely than you think!
(i am very excited and will put up with bendynoodle crumplehorn for her)
