OMG I got a comment award! That falls into the list of things I thought would probably never happen seeing how I am mostly a professional lurker. Thanks so much!
I wonder if Soft Butch Princess Di would be a pillow princess? Also can someone please Photoshop the new Autostraddle store Soft butch T-shirt on Lady Diana ?
I second this request!
I already have some inspiration for Sophia’s fanfiction. Remember that time Freddie Mercury dressed Princess Di up in drag so she could go with him to a gay bar? She was described as being “in mischief mode on evening in question.’
Who is to say that she didn’t meet a nice softball player who gave her the outfit featured in this article?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2301869/Freddie-Mercury-helped-Princess-Diana-dress-man-visit-gay-bar-Kenny-Everett.html
“Mercury had also come round to Everett’s flat and the four of them were larking around on Everett’s sofa watching The Golden Girls.
Miss Rocos wrote: ‘I don’t think anything could be more camp than Diana, Kenny, Freddie and me sitting on Kenny’s sofa, all watching The Golden Girls.
‘Kenny turned the sound down on the television and we improvised the voices, but with a much naughtier storyline.
‘Kenny was Blanche, Diana was Dorothy, Freddie was Sophia and I was Rose – we were uncontrollable with laughter. Diana, who was 27 at the time, was giggling from behind a cushion and asked what our plans were for that evening.”
OMG, Bless you for linking to this article.
That is a magisterial idea
@carmensandiego since no one with proper photoshop skills replied, here is my quick effort on pixlr.
Aha! Thank you – I was wishing I had photoshop skills, proper or otherwise. The hat is a nice touch.
This is the highlight of my day, thank you so very much @rachelwashere
Bless you Rachel, for making our dreams come true. Princess Bi forever!
Princess Bi! Ha!
On topic: Every time I see @donnamartingraduates, I really want to know: DID THEY GRADUATE?
I did indeed graduate! I am also pretty sure I managed to drink more than Donna Martin at prom, though I suffered no consequences.
I am deeply shamed that I had to look up this reference, but thank you for reminding me that 90210 was A Thing!
I love how, despite being too busy this week to check out any of these articles, I can still COMPLETELY make sense of every single comment here. Brava, everyone <3
I want to thank the Academy, my beloved partner of the past 13 eyars, and also the onlne tiny home, minimalist and simple living communities for being so male-dominated and heteronormative. Thank you!
Thank you!
P.S.: I just cannot deal with Soft Butch Princess Diana.
Maybe I’ve just found my root.
