Happy Sunday Funday! It’s a glorious day to be gay, and I’ve got proof in the form of a bunch of good gay news. Shall we scroll down?

Desmond Tutu’s Lesbian Daughter Just Got Gay Married

Oh, you heard right. Reverend Mpho Tutu, daughter of the one and only Desmond Tutu, married her partner Marceline van Furth in a small ceremony last week. Mpho is an ordained Episcopal priest and founder and Executive Director of the Tutu Institute for Prayer and Pilgrimage. Furth is a seasoned activist and a professor at the Vrije University in Amsterdam. The pair will have a larger, public ceremony in May, because we should all bear witness to this clearly very amazing love.

I Heard Ellen is Both Hilarious and Moving in This Speech

“I certainly didn’t set out to win any of the many, many, many, many awards I have received over the past years, but I have to say it’s a little strange to actually get an award for being nice and generous and kind, which is what we’re all supposed to do with one another. That’s the point of being a human.”

But you have to watch it to find out.

OK, Now It’s Official: Salt Lake City Has a Lesbian Mayor

Jackie Biskupsi was just sworn in as the very gay mayor of a very Mormon town. And she even got to kiss her fiancee! WHAT A DAY.

This bison was struck by lightning and survived. I know this isn’t as fluffy as a picture of a pile of kittens, but I hope it both inspires and deeply moves you today.
