I’ve been reading everything Megan Daum‘s written since 1998 (when I first discovered her via New Yorker essay) & especially loved her collection My Misspent Youth. So imagine my delight to see that Curtis Sittenfeld (author of Prep another favorite book) interviewed Megan in New York Magazine along with Emily Gould, who’s new book And the Heart Says Whatever comes out May 4th! I’ll be writing about Emily’s book on AS next week so get excited! Here’s the interview: The Art of the Confession.

Not heard of either writer, but great article.
I think the words “No one should have the power to be someone’s first Google” are so haunting that they should be the tag-line to a generation’s loss of innocence and struggle between identity and privacy.
