Hello, Pop Culture Fixers, welcome to another link roundup of queer queerness.
+ What’s next for Alex and Kelly on Supergirl? Awesomely, Kelly is getting a storyline outside of her relationship with Alex! And then their relationship will deepen!
+ Speaking of, um. Valerie says this must be during the Crisis crossover filming, but I, personally, feel attacked already.
+ FINALLY! A trailer for Lena Waithe’s Twenties, which features a masc black lesbian character and Carmen has already declared her love and allegiance so get in line!
Your twenties are a work of art. #TwentiesOnBET is coming soon ✨ pic.twitter.com/yJA8kSg1MS

+ Sports Illustrated (what’s left of it) had their legal analyst break down the USWNT’s fight for equal pay. There are charts!
+ An oral history of Lizzo’s rise to fame with a fucking brilliant illustration.
+ The She-Ra panel at NYCC had everyone hyped, including Valerie Anne, who was there and relayed to me that there’s going to a character with they/them pronouns in season four, which lands on November 5th!
+ Big Mouth introduced Ali Wong’s pansexual character and, “included a really off-base summation of her sexuality, along with a dig at ill-informed dig bisexuals and the mishandling trans identity, all in the span of, like, less than two minutes.” The show’s creators have apologized.
+ Steven Universe has some new and grown-up opening credits.
+ You better believe we’re going to liveblog this.

+ Batwoman is off to a solid start at the CW!
+ All American is off to a CRUSHING second season start, so much so that it’s already been renewed for season three. (Natalie’s recapping; did you know??)
+ Tanya Saracho will be honored at the Outfest Legacy Awards.
+ Ellen DeGeneres, George W. Bush, and the Limits of Unconditional Kindness
+ Kate McKinnon is unsurprisingly brilliant at being Elizabeth Warren.
+ Hayley Kiyoko will be honored by the Trevor Project.
+ Lilly Singh’s late night challenge.
+ Man, Tello’s new lesbian Christmas movie has it all: flannel, mistletoe, cancer, carolers, runaway brides! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Who’s ready for the first teaser for #SeasonOfLoveMovie?!! Take a look and get excited about the first holiday romantic comedy for & about queer women! https://t.co/fBpx4ppACB #queerfilm #lgbtq #earpers #femalefilmmakers pic.twitter.com/KGjZq2Dfc5

I am way too invested in She-Ra for someone who was too old for it the first time around
I know what you mean !
If I could make interest off the investment I have in She-Ra I could retire next year.
Comment award
This is the fourth time I’ve seen y’all mis-spell Lilly Singh’s first name. There are two “l” s in it.
Thank you for correcting it.
Chyler Leigh and Ruby Rose are both stunningly gorgeous. Them together posing like that is too much for my poor gay self to handle! *swoons*
– yay for International Lesbian Day. Wish it was celebrated more…
– thanks for the reminder that I still have to watch Batwoman
– such a shame about Sports Illustrated… I had a framed cover of theirs on my bedroom wall…
– very excited to hear that there will be a Little Mermaid live-blogging. Really looking forward to Latifah’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls”
– can’t wait for Seasons of Love (yes, I know it’s not called that but I can’t help to sing that in my head when I read the title. Five hundred twenty-five thousand…)
six hundred minutes…
Who the heck gave Batwoman a B-? Were we watching the same show? I don’t know about y’all, but there was steam coming out my laptop every time Kate and Sophie were on-screen together.
I’m gonna blaspheme here and say this was a D+ for me.
Way too much and inorganic exposition, which might be cause or effect of the bad pacing in the episode.
I have a few other gripes, but I can’t quite put them into words yet, might need a rewatch of the episode for that.
I gave it a C, but I realized the first episode had a lot of plot lines to establish. I’m hoping the acting gets better. I winced at some dialogue delivery.
Say, did I really see Waverly in that Season of Love trailer ?
You sure did!
Ruby Rose regrammed that post and you need to go read the comments on it immediately. Redtube is mentioned…
Oops, this was not meant to be a reply to this comment. Sometimes the internet is hard.
While everyone swoons over Lena/Katie McGrath I find myself completely and utterly drawn toward Alex/Chyler Leigh.
Looks like Batwoman might be getting review-bombed (I’m sure I have NO IDEA at all which demographic COULD POSSIBLY be doing that …) https://comicbook.com/dc/2019/10/09/batwoman-review-bombed-rotten-tomatoes/
Ellen’s statement really is Peak white feminism isn’t it
Not just white feminism, but rich white feminism. Plus the fact many celebs, including Jenefer Garner, and Lenny Kravitz were celebrating this in the comment section of her FB post. ew
It’s peak idiocy and obliviousness, is what it is. There’s nothing feminist about it, she’s merely proving how out of touch she is from being super wealthy.
he just has such an approach to life
Aah Kate McKinnon as Elizabeth Warren, nice.
MOAR LESBIAN HOLIDAY ROM-COMS PLZ!
