I wanted to be more excited about the Vita and Virginia trailer than I am, but obviously will still go see it.
And the Hustlers trailer is definitely a highlight of the day
Yeah, it seems like Elizabeth Debicki is well-cast – she’s at least trying with Woolf’s voice, and she looks great.
But playing Vita a coquette is all wrong. I mean, sure, she went from one woman to the next, but she was either right into it, passionately, or over it and totally cold. Not a flirt as such. And she got progressively more butch as time went on, although of course she never stopped wearing silk blouses and pearls (and of course dressing up as the occasion required).
Look, I really need those new Veronica Mars episodes in my life
and also, very unexpectedly excited for that Hustlers trailer what the hell
Me too, re Hustlers! I am totally here for those awesome women and the token white chick flex.
I mean, I never thought I’d be looking forward to a movie with J Lo in it, but it looks like it’s a good vehicle for a change.
My friend texted me the Hustlers trailer this morning and then we spent 10 minutes screaming excitedly about it. CAN’T WAIT.
I guess I need a full scene from Jennifer Lopez, but my mind is having a great, and very HOT, competition between her and Salma Hayek.
That tiny bit with Constance Wu and the man in the truck? Some warm feelings there.
Nice to see Amanda Nunes mentioned here. I’m always up for more sports people
It’s honestly homophobic that I have to wait till September to watch Hustlers
Those entertainment weekly covers feature a lesbian, a bisexual and a girl with a crush on her best friend, and all of them are Superheroes.
Happy that Billy Porter is nominated as he’s doing an excellent job on Pose, but a huge snub that MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, and Dominique Jackson were not nominated.
CAN NOT wait for Hustlers after seeing that movie. Also can not breathe at work now…
Wow my eyes are terrible, I misread that as:
Beyoncé music video for her Lion King song, “Spit” 🤔
“Hilarie Burton wants to play Megan Rapinoe’s girlfriend in a lesbian Christmas movie.” Pretty sure there’s going to be a long queue behind her for that role…
Hustlers will likely be a Very Bad Movie, but I’m probably gonna go see it anyway.
Lots of fun new queer media on the horizon, which is awesome, but the question remains: Where is Darcy Carden’s emmy nomination?! She played ALL the possible Janets!
GIVE D’ARCY CARDEN HER EMMY
EXACTLY. Did you see that TGP writer Megan Amram’s web series, “an Emmy for Megan”, actually got a nomination? I saw one of her For Your Consideration posters in LA, which I guess means a) the sceme worked, and b)I will be making 1000 Janet(s) lawn signs tomorrow
Well I was excited for Vita & Virginia until Ms Arterton showed up with her total lack of presence and that dreadful accent. Vita was nothing if not charismatic – Gemma, bless her, seems ill-equipped to carry this off.
Here’s a recording of Vita reading her poem ‘The Land’. That voice!
