Your pals at Entertainment Weekly asked Steph Beatriz who’s in the hopper to play Rosa’s girlfriend on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and she’s gave an answer you’re gonna love.

“I just read a script for next week’s table read that’s got some really exciting possibilities for Rosa and her lady friends,” says Stephanie Beatriz, who has a number of dream castings for Rosa’s girlfriends. “Love Gina Rodriguez, and think she would be fantastic. Katie McKinnon, would love to kiss Kate McKinnon. Those are probably the top two for me. Then, in an imaginary dream world, it would be [Jennifer Lopez]. I feel like J.Lo and Rosa would make a great couple — but not Jennifer Lopez the actress, like the real J.Lo, with J.Lo playing J.Lo.”

Gina Rodriguez is here for it.

I don’t know why this is so funny to me but it super is. Megan Mullally was on Ellen this week talking about how she didn’t know Ellen was a lesbian for a long time, even though they were friends; she just thought Ellen had a lot of nice roommates.

I love Black Lightning and I love Carmen’s recaps of Black Lightning and I love this interview with Black Lightning’s Nafessa Williams.

“I’m just really grateful to tell the story for young lesbians — and black lesbians in particular — who don’t really see themselves on TV, My hope is that when you watch Anissa, a young lesbian is inspired to walk boldly as who she is and to love herself and to love herself exactly how she looks.”

Lots of people have written about the forthcoming Murphy Brown reboot but my favorite is from Julie Kohler over at The Washington Post.

Nyssa Al Ghul is alive!

I’ve share Ira Madison’s Daily Beast piece on Octavia Spencer with everyone everywhere and now I’m sharing it here. It has my favorite kicker of 2018.
