I have not yet begun this season of The Gilded Age, because frankly I needed to rest after the whirlwind that was The Morning Show, but something about this duo is so amusing/concerning to me that I must put eyes on it ASAP? I enjoy very much this website, it’s been with me for a while, hope this comment finds you well .
I have a serious question that’s been bothering me.

How come you call out patriarchy or racism and not CAPITALISM ?

Those fuckers go hand in hand and feed oppressive systems. I’d love to see content here where you tackle this issue just like you did with BLM mouvement, Bi erasure or sobriety (it was great)

Why do you praise rich and famous lesbians, bi and trans ppl for posts where they just sell stuff and are being sponsored by corporate brands ? Does their queerness ( and good looks) make it all okay ?

I am not promoting some kind of activist purism and I also understand the no filter column is supposed to not be too serious.

Keep on the good work ;)

To be fair some of these folks are just upper middle to lower upper class. None of them are Jeff Bozo or Julia Walton.

To the other point, all that other stuff they critique is easy to do. It’s hard to critique capitalism why trying to become a rich and famous celesbian. That’s been obvious for many years now the way the founders have acted in the past and based on everything former writers have said. Hell, why do you think they still praise celesbians who have been noted to be awful? It’s also why they chose to team up with a company that is VC funded instead of one that was more ethical with their funding. I’ve been year since year 2 or 3 and you can tell in the last 5-6 years they have gotten softer and praise white celesbians as doing no harm. It’s disgusting.

Side note: I heard they promised to pay a bunch of writers and artists for stuff like queer outside pictures(I miss those) and queer in the city articles(we only saw like one), but never did. Talk about corrupt capitialism.
