Good evening and welcome back to No Filter, a once-weekly guide to the week in queer celebrity Instagram. We have some urgent new business to attend to:

EVEN GRIMES CAN’T HANDLE IT.

What if this whole column is just dedicated to Tessa Thompson and Janelle Monáe now? It feels like it’s been a natural progression.
I STILL CRY EVERY TIME THESE GUYS HANG OUT, I’m fine.

Demi, I see you and your weird product placement and I’m not even mad at it. Oh, while we’re at it we should check in with Kehlani, her tour mate…

I feel calmer already.

Love it when a bunch of nerds get together to celebrate esteemed multi-hyphenate Brittani Nichols.

I honestly don’t like to include pictures I am in for No Filter because it’s against a personal code of conduct I invented for myself but hey, here I am, being that douchebag. Back story: we were at a vegan restaurant, our waitress was cute and these jerks were pushing me to try to talk to her. Mara asked her if she was really vegan or if she just worked there. She told us, “I swing both ways.” Gaby jumped right in with, “You’ve come to the right table.” I died of embarrassment and disappeared into a poof of smoke. Anyway, I’m always looking for excuses to put Mara Wilson in this column so here’s Mara Wilson, noted bisexual Janelle Monáe enthusiast.
Normally a photo like this wouldn’t qualify for this column because it is not a camera phone picture, but I cannot improve upon the caption so here we are.
This picture made me want to smack the person next to me, but I was alone so instead I actually shouted, “SHUT THE FUCK UP” to no one.
Honestly the Vanity Fair Oscar party is the stuff of dreams and – oh, is that Janelle again? It’s Janelle again.
