Mythic Quest’s Queer Season 2 Storyline Gets Gamer Girl High Score

Okay you spoiler seekers, I do understand the need to have CONFIRMED queer activity before signing onto a new show, even one with such a low time commitment like a 30 minute comedy with only 14 episodes to date (though it will be 20 by the end of this season.) So I’m here to tell you that in the beginning of Season Two, after some minor panicking and overthinking on Rachel’s part, Dana kisses her square on the mouth.

Mythic Quest queer gamers Rachel and Dana kiss in a parking garage.
The rise of “we’re here, we’re queer, and we like video games damnit” in pop culture lately has been wonderful.

They worry about it being an issue, either with HR or just with coworkers in general, but truly no one cares, so they move on from the adorable courtship phase of their relationship and directly into being Coworker Girlfriends. Which of course leads to both hilariously uncomfortable and extremely adorable moments. They are soft and cute and nerdy and are determined to develop a mobile game called Grouchy Goat, even though Rachel is a little nervous about the idea of a job trajectory that will take them away from the couch on which they first met.

I look forward to more gay gamer/cute queer content in the upcoming episodes.
