THE SHANE SHOW IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE FIRST SHANE SHOW: The Shane Show Three Rivers might run dry before Kate Moennig has a chance to get a new hairstyle (WIG people it’s a WIG) — the ratings sucked last night, and at last one dude thinks it should be canceled immediately. We tried to watch it for The Shane Parts, but there’s nothing worth saying, really.
Well, there’s this: because of recasting and re-uniforming (the old ones were WAY sexier), they premiered Three Rivers with Episode 2, rather than Episode One, therefore leaving out the actually interesting character development elements necessary to care even remotely about this totally medicore show. I shared some of the pilot’s script with you a few months ago (Three Rivers Spoilers #1, Three Rivers Spoilers #2), if you’d like to begin filling in the blanks.

Look the show wasn’t exactly awesome, but Kate was great, even if Haviland insists she looks just like Erin Daniels the whole time.

WHIP IT! Eclipse It! Did anyone else not know this was going on? Drew Barrymore was reportedly supposed to follow up her leztastic directorial debut with…the third installment of the Twilight series? TEGAN AND SARA AND EMY! Since I was on a roll with spending money I don’t have (laptop, bus ticket to DC), I also charged the deluxe T&S album/book/inkblot set. Aahhh so many feelings I need that album RIGHT NOW.
Also really glad Drew Barrymore isn’t having anything to do with that Twilight crap. Maybe she can direct an adaptation of Name All The Animals or some other movie with ACTUAL lesbian content.
I bought the deluxe set too, justifying the cost by saying I can give the inkblot as a Christmas gift.. but the more I think about it, the more I’m probably just going to keep it for myself. #badfriend

my roommate and i are cutting class that day, locking ourselves in our room with takeout chinese, and listening to sainthood all day. ALL DAY.
I didn;t think 3 Rivers was that bad. But then again I have never watched a medical drama a day in my life so I have no bar set. It was hard to watch Miranda cause I feel like Shane is trapped in a cage somewhere and they are doing illegal testing on her. She needs to be released to roam free and f*ck.
I thought papi looked pretty and her acting was pretty good.
I think Janina Gavankar is awesome. I still wont watch that show, though.
I thought the show was really unrealistic. They have these futuristic bulletin boards that look like something from Star Trek. And there wasn’t much character development. Plus how many times can they talk about organ donation before the audience gets bored?
Papi did look good, though. Super duper straight, but good.
Seriously, those computer things were like they have on the show about missing kids, but more importantly from MINORITY REPORT.
@MsNJS probably if i’d never seen a medical drama before I’d have liked it ok too, hospitals are by definition a successful, suspenseful setting and plot structure.
They should have spent less on those ridiculous hologram boards and more on e.g. a script. Oh shane! go and be in something good!
I watched parts of 3 Rivers and hated it. Janina was awesome and the only thing that kept me from having a total panic attack about Kate’s hair was that she occasionally did that sly little smile thing she does.
papi probably didn’t want to pony up the organs because she didn’t want shane dimming her stars and shit. it’s totally understandable.

I sadly admit when faced with the choice between seeing Zombieland or Whip It at 12:01AM opening night, I did choose Zombieland. Forgive me Ellen Page for I can not resist zombie movies.
