Dolly Parton wants Beyoncé to cover “Jolene”:
“I think she’s fantastic & beautiful, & I love her music. I would just love to hear ‘Jolene’ done in just a big way, like how Whitney did my ‘I Will Always Love You’ just someone that can take my little songs & make them powerhouses” pic.twitter.com/roB1cirliL

I’m very excited for ‘Girls5Eva’, the episode with Gloria and her ex was absolute gold.
My goodness she’s absolutely right. I’m imagining Beyoncé doing Jolene and wow girl, that’d be something
I’m pretty bummed about the Babysitter’s Club being cancelled. The article says it was “only” in the Top 10 streams for a week. I’m surprised that’s not enough for something to get another season, it seems like a high bar.
Happy Pi Day (which is also me and my partner’s anniversary)! Sitting here waiting on her to finish work so we can dig into the chocolate pecan pie that just came out of the oven. 😋
Somehow my main takeaway here is “holy shit I had no idea Whitney Houston’s massive hit song was a Dolly Parton cover”
Even more amazing, she invested the royalties from Whitney’s version into a Black neighborhood! https://www.npr.org/2021/08/02/1023889920/dolly-parton-invested-royalties-from-a-whitney-houston-cover-in-a-black-communit
IIRC, Dolly wrote the song as a farewell to her (then) band…
Noooo! I loved the BSC reboot!
I’m conflicted because I love Elvira but Rob Zombie movies are not my thing.
I’ve read it will be PG-13, so the typical Rob Zombie gore isn’t to be expected !
Might want to keep an eye on it !
Thanks for given important information for me
Heartbroken about the BSC. That show is such a soothing, comforting balm that is also genuinely funny and smart and good! It deserved at least one more season to give all the characters a proper send off. Netflix clearly doesn’t give a shit about female stories, especially YA female stories.
Omg Beyonce covering Jolene? YES PLEASE.
