If you haven’t heard, Ellen DeGeneres became the 15th comedian to be awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Upon learning of her win she said, “It’s such an honor to receive the Mark Twain Prize. To get the same award that has been given to people like Bill Cosby, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, it really makes me wonder… why didn’t I get this sooner?” After airing Tuesday night, PBS made the show available online. OMG is it right below this paragraph? I think it is.

Jane Lynch, Jon Krasinski, Kristin Chenoweth, Jimmy Kimmel, Sean Hayes, Steve Harvey and past winner Lily Tomlin all made it to the Kennedy Center on October 22nd to sing Ellen’s praises. Hayes said, “I like to think that Ellen made Will & Grace possible, and Will & Grace made it possible for Modern Family. (DeGeneres’) fearlessness was her contribution and it continues to be.” And of course Portia de Rossi was there being gay, fabulous and supportive.
