All weekend A;ex [via Riese-in-Ohio] has been live-blogging Dinah Shore. If you missed this breathtaking coverage of Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, lube wrestling, White Parties, Rock Band and Autostraddle fans in bikinis … you should probs catch up now. Work shmirk. Employment is so 2008. I mean. 1998?

Also! You know Logo the Gay Channel? Well, they’re  airing The L Word Season Three [Trail of Tears] now. Therefore Logo has begun rolling out these amazing “What the L is going on?” promos … Guess who made those? OK, I’ll tell you: Carlytron! Witness them on your TV if you can, and then tell us how lucky we are to have her on our team.

0. Amazing interview with L Word co-creators Michelle Abbot and Kathy Greenberg at AfterEllen!

1. “The ruling on gay marriage by Iowa’s Supreme Court is a refreshing message of fairness and common sense from the nation’s heartland.” (@ny times)

2. British soap Coronation Street‘s born-again Christian character Sophie is about to “dump her wholesome image” and go gay! She’ll be the show’s first lesbian character. I wasn’t aware “wholesome” and “gay” were mutually exclusive. Although our Dinah Shore coverage would suggest otherwise. (@telegraph uk)

3. Apparently, lesbians make America laugh. Why? (Sub-question: I don’t know MAYBE WOMEN ARE FUNNY AFTER ALL!?!!?) (@queerty)

4. A Harvey Milk High School teacher explains how his GLBT Students made him love “the C-bomb.” (@nerve)

5. Canada’s “secret” plan to “save” figure skating is to “make it seem less gay” by emphasizing words like “strength,” “power,” “speed” and “risk.” I feel like this campaign could’ve been much better handled by Brian Kinney, who embodies all those words in the backroom of Babylon, among others … wtf. (@business insider)

6. Young voters push for same sex marriage. (@the denver post)

7. Hey-o! Who’s that on Entertainment Weekly’s PopWatch? Um, AUTOSTRADDLE! L’WTAWESOME! (@popwatchanniebarretisawesome)

8. I’m sure there will be a new Interrogation Tape tomorrow. Edge of my seat. Really, I’m barely even sitting on it anymore. I hope someone tells me where the F Marc is. UPDATE: Here it is! It’s Max. It might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

stef-iconFrom Stef: Oh no. I wanted so badly to love the new Tori Amos video for “Welcome to England” but umm… I don’t. The song is pleasant enough, but hardly top Tori quality. Regardless, bitch looks good, she’s still an incredible songwriter, and the new record “Abnormally Attracted to Sin” is still probs pretty sweet. Between this and the new PJ Harvey album, I feel like I’m 15 again – in a good way.

riese-icon3From Riese: I really want to see Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winning documentary “We Live in Public,” which charts the rise and fall of “Warhol of the Web” Joshua Harris, a 90’s dot-com millionaire who used his earnings to fund surveillance-themed experimental art projects like the film QUIET, which “proved how, in the not-so-distant future of life online, we will willingly trade our privacy for the connection and recognition we all deeply desire.” Read about the film in The Wall Street Journal and watch streaming live video from WLIP’s NYC screenings tonight (April 6th) at 5, 7:30 and 10pm at the film’s website.
