Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Sofia Coppola wrote and directed The Bling Ring which will be in theaters this June and is based on true events. The film is about the group of teenage burglars that robbed the Hollywood Hills homes of celebrities (including Lindsay Lohan). I suppose we can expect some reflection on America’s obsession with celebrity but most importantly, Emma Watson is rocking a SoCal accent.

Sarah Croce‘s newest venture is a web series called Calling in Drunk. Each episode tackles a new subject and takes place ten minutes and a few more drinks after the last. As the season goes on, Sarah and her straight counterpart, Loryn, stand to get progressively drunker. Here’s Episode 2 where they discuss the pros and mostly cons of OkCupid.

Certainly you remember the buzz surrounding Esperanza Spalding after she upset Justin Bieber for the Best New Artist Grammy. Shortly after that most people promptly forgot about her existence and that must be why we missed this gay ass video she put out for a cover she did of Michael Jackson’s “I Can’t Help It.” She is bringing fro, tie, and blazer realness.

Here’s a silly one about how animals eat their food. I think that’s supposed to be intriguing enough. It worked on me.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

So, I once sat through all nine episodes of E!’s Pretty Wild which is a reality show that starred the Neiers family. If you don’t know, the Alexis Neiers is the real person that Emma Watson’s character was based off of and from what I can see Emma Watson is doing a really fucking fantastic job of portraying her. The show was actually really hilarious and they’re only 30 minutes each (or 22 if you watch them on Netflix like I did) so it’s kind of like watching two absolutely horrible movies.

I only remember that show for one thing and it’s the clip that The Soup repeatedly replayed of Alexis leaving that journalist a message and having to redo it over and over because her mother interrupting. It’s still one of my favorite reality show moments of all time.

here is the clip in case anybody forgot–http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clFh2ypnuWc

Yes. I love the part where she’s getting all bothered by the fact that the reporter was getting the type of shoes she was wearing wrong.

That entire esperanza spalding album is very good if you are into jazz fusion at all. I’m not so much a fan of her earlier ones but this album really stands out to me. Also, dat video.

I swear I watched a movie called The Bling Ring on tv this year…exactly the same plot, less high profile actors…it had the MacAulay Culkin look-alike kid from the Carrie Diaries in it

Lifetime did a movie about it I think

There is also a bloopers video for the “How Animals Eat Their Food.” It’s not quite as funny, but it’s the 2 guys cracking up trying to make it. I laughed.

I knew I’d heard that song somewhere before. It’s a Michael Jackson cover. Such a pretty voice.

I am currently hungover at work, and I am uhhhbbbzorrrbing (absorbing [-phonetically/hungover]) the ‘Calling in Drunk’ episode!!! Why is this not a bigger thing?!! I feel like the little girl in that AT&T commercial, “We want more, we want more! We really like it, and we want more!” That was awesome! Lol “I learned … you shouldn’t kiss guys.” <3 this

Esperanza Spalding just won 2 more Grammy’s, including best jazz vocal album, a few months ago and her latest album hit the top 10. It also topped the US Jazz charts. Not sure why it is believed she disappeared. She didn’t go anywhere.

I love me some Esperanza Spalding. I saw her perform live a few years ago and it was crush at first sight. She basically made my day with that video, it was like a fantasy come true. ha ha.

Oh my god I just saw the Esperanza vid and freeeeaked out. I knew I could come to autostraddle for some emotional support. Thank god. Okay, oh man, breathe, breathe. She’s queer? Is she queer? Google, help me here? I loved her music already but I knew she had a boyfriend and the thought didn’t even – *collapses*
