Marissa H. is a lesbian writer and editor living in Washington, D.C. Her nonfiction considers poverty, food, and the queer domestic. Her essays have appeared in Catapult, Salon, Slate, the Washington Post, the Rumpus, and elsewhere. Her essay on food and grief was anthologized in the Best American Food Writing 2018.
