Aila Alvina Boyd is a Virginia-based writer and college instructor. She holds undergraduate degrees in theatre and media studies and a terminal graduate degree in writing. Prior to teaching college freshman how to string together coherent sentences, she taught high school theatre and worked as a print journalist.
