I am a geeky Jewish trans-woman who transplanted herself to the SF Bay Area at the turn of the millenium (the most recent one). Prior to moving west, the places I’ve called home have all been somewhere along the Northeast Corridor. I grew up in Washington D.C., New York City, and outside Boston.

I write prose & poetry frequently, but largely for myself and only occasionally for others. I have become increasingly passionate about feminism & trans* rights and have become very involved with a transgender rights organization.

I started reading Science Fiction & Fantasy at the age of eight and attended my first science fiction convention at the age of 16. My lifelong fascination with computers started when they still needed to have their own rooms. I hack about with electronic circuitry and small computers.

Currently, I work as an engineering manager. This means I’m responsible for the care and feeding of engineers. It also means I’m quite familiar with the problems inherent in cat herding. I’ve reinvented my career several times.
