‘Genevieve Is Pitching Because She Can Get Outs.’ “At 17, Genevieve Beacom became the first woman to play for one of Australia’s top pro baseball teams. With a fastball that tops out at 84 miles per hour, a solid changeup and an elliptical curve, she hopes her next stop is college ball in the U.S.”

  1. I loved learning about the lesbian loving dolphins, but Nicole is right about being freaked out about dolphins. They are known for their coercive mating practices and violence against little ones…

  2. Thank you for the article on Genevieve pitching! There’s an awesome org in the US called Baseball for All that specifically encourages any kids who have been dissuaded from playing baseball in other leagues to join, learn, and hone their baseball skills. One of their players is petitioning to create a women’s baseball at her university that would get the same athletic ranking as the current school baseball team and ideally pave the way for a future where all who are skilled enough can play in the mlb.

  3. Miss Universe Australia wasn’t outed! I read the actual interview last night. She posted on a dating app that she was looking for men and women. When a friend saw it and assumed that it was fake, she switched back to just men. I know OUT likes to do clickbait, but her interview was interesting because it was about her journey to be true to herself.

  4. That article aboutthe struggle if making new friends in your 30s and 40s, so relateable.

I regret not making more ftiends at age 20. i was happy with the few i had
    .
I never imagined my straight best friend ,when in her 30 s who struggled at love and met “her man” prob now husband , ghosted me for a long time.
after a long letter from me to her mothers adress to get closure, cause she no longer lived in her single apartment, she wrote a half hearted attempt back, pretty much saying “i dont need your friendship any more,i have a man now in my life, bye”and what hurt esp, she left her return adress blank.
As if i travel 700 km to go there throwing rocks.. How wrong you can be of people you know 20 years of your life… But thats straight people for you….
