Well, hello, here is your Wednesday Pop Culture Fix.

+ Amazon Prime’s first YA series, The Wilds, dropped its first trailer today, and there are girls kissing and also the official synopsis is a real experience: “Part survival drama, part dystopic slumber party, The Wilds follows a group of teen girls from different backgrounds who must fight for survival after a plane crash strands them on a deserted island. The castaways both clash and bond as they learn more about each other, the secrets they keep, and the traumas they’ve all endured. There’s just one twist to this thrilling drama… these girls did not end up on this island by accident!”

+ Um. Chloe Grace Moretz’s live-action Tom & Jerry trailer is. Uh. Well. There’s Lizzo, and there’s Chloe, and then there’s a vibe that’s Roger Rabbit but less technologically advanced? I don’t know. Did they make this movie in MS Paint?

+ 19 films with Black talent to watch this holiday season.

+ Berlanti Productions is making Wonder Girl with a Latina lead for the CW!

+ How Buffy inspired the queer romance in New Mutants.

+ Laverne Cox On intersectionality, Joe Biden’s inclusive speech and Citi’s New True Name Program.

+ Danai Gurira will star in The Fighting Shirley Chisholm.

+ Paste magazine wants us to reconsider The Bisexual, which is just fine with me; it’s one of my all-time favorite TV series.
