Pop Culture Fix: Tegan and Sara’s New Music Video Has More ’90s Lesbian Fashion Than a Lilith Fair Concert

Welcome back to your weekly Pop Culture Fix!

+ Tegan and Sara have released the music video for “I’ll Be Back Someday,” the lead single off their forthcoming album, Hey, I’m Just Like You. There are more lesbian shoes in this one video than in my entire two-lesbian home and also there’s absolutely a Nokia5160 at one point.

  1. I just watched the Tegan and Sara video and I feel like I’m about 600% more gay now.

    Love the song!
    PS: the link is broken

    • Remember back in the day when Tegan n Sara actually tried to look a bit different? Now I need at least 3 secs to tell ’em apart. [HOT]2.

  2. The Dickenson show looks like some kind of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies shitty CW teen comedy. This and the fact that it stars Hailee Steinfeld tells me the exact amount of gay(or historical accuracy) we are going to get, which is none.

  3. I read the Steven Universe articles on Rolling Stone and Variety on my lunch break.

The RS one Heather linked to really lays out the appeal of the show to me; it truly is magical and rare.

  4. FYI: Drew, I wanted to give you a heads up that I ALSO have my sights set on Ms. Waller-Bridge. May the best lesbian win!
