No Filter: A Very Happy Pride From Samira Wiley, Ruby Rose, Asia Kate Dillon, Stef Beatriz and Be Steadwell

Hello and welcome to the first No Filter of Pride Month, in which all of our crushes show up on the cover of major magazines and are often otherwise photographed in a celebratory manner. We’re all at A-Camp this week, awaiting the arrival of many beautiful campers! We’re also very happy to report to all A-Campers traveling today that the signatures in your program/yearbook are bona-fide celesbian signatures we got JUST FOR YOU. Also apologies to 95% of the people reading this right now for whom this information is not interesting or relevant. Thank you for your patience.

The biggest news this week is that Samira Wiley looks incredible on the cover of Nylon Magazine’s second-ever Pride Issue and that Kristen Stewart doesn’t have eyebrows anymore.

In every generation, exactly one slayer and one Evan Rachel Wood is born. We got Evan Rachel Wood this time, and I think it is working out well.

I know this isn’t the point but I would love to talk about this HOWL hat and how I could get one?

Do you ever see a picture of a beloved celebrity couple and think… “were they fighting in the car on their way to this event?”

This is a @whododatlikedat fan account now

I was already a fan of this account but now I’m like, a ceiling fan of this account, which is a higher level of fandom, because ceilings are higher than our heads. This is science. xoxo

This is a very chill day at the ballpark, starring some lesbian legends and also Billie Jean King’s wife, Hashtag Illana.

This week in Entertainment Weekly, treat yourself to the buried-but-true story of Ruby Rose’s participation in the Stonewall Uprising!!

Stay subtle.

Taking a cue from the Listerine bottles at my local Target, Be Steadwell has draped herself in a rainbow for Pride. I’m here for it.

The flip-side of this type of visibility for an actor, of being known for one highly specific trait and type of role, is the risk of getting pigeon-holed. Dillon isn’t concerned about that. "I feel comfortable saying no to a job because I know what it’s like to not have money,” they tell me. “I’m not afraid to go and pick up restaurant shifts again, in order to maintain my own morals.” They don’t want to play another version of Taylor again, for instance, or dive into anything that doesn’t immediately excite them. When they’re reading scripts now, they’re mostly lead by a gut feeling. Or, more succinctly: “If it’s not a fuck yes, it’s a no.” @gabriellapaiella for @thecut 🙏🏻 Photographs by Elizaveta Porodina Styling by Rebecca Ramsey Photography Direction by Liane Radel Makeup by Seong Hee Park using Marc Jacobs Beauty at Julian Watson Agency Hair by Erol Karadag at The Industry MGMT ⚡#AKDAF⚡

My second-favorite part of this picture is that it says “Ilene Chaiken” on the side. (Although also, and I’m being honest right now, I am very stoked for the Elif Bautman piece!!!!)

  1. That Asia Kate Dillon picture, wow!

Side note my buddy and I once met the first Blink 182 drummer Scott after a show at House of Blues Hollywood back in 2004-2005. He was nice to use.
