Hey, hey, hey! How the heck are you?? I’m tired but happy to be alive! I recently moved things around in my bedroom because I’m getting a housemate (today, in fact!) and had to move everything from my office (which is bigger than my bedroom) into my bedroom. Things feel a little cramped in here, and I don’t love that, but what I do love is that I have been averaging two out of three cats in the same bed as me at all times. My cats are middle-aged, they almost never pile into bed with me anymore, but with this new setup, they love having family-bed time! It’s been a very nice surprise even though my son has taken to biting my toes when he wants me. You can’t have it all, you know? Anyway, let’s talk about all the sweet stuff that happened this week, yeah? Yeah!
All the (Good) News Fit to Print
+ Land O’Lakes’ named Beth Ford as their CEO, making her one of only 25 women running a Fortune 500 company, and even cooler, “Ford will be the third openly gay CEO of a Fortune 500 company and the first woman.” I knew I liked their spreadable butter the most for a reason.
+ Lena Waithe got signed for a two-season deal for a horror show on Amazon called Them. I wanted it to be about non-binary serial killers, but her idea sounds cool too:
The first season will speak to how frightening it was to be black in 1953. It will also remind us that being black in 2018 is just as horrifying. This anthology series will examine the cultural divides among all of us and explore us vs Them in a way we’ve never seen before.
+ Listen, Mary Berry playing the drums is queer culture.

+ I read this article yesterday about the church where Anne Lister married another woman in 1834 and was thrilled to learn that there is a new miniseries about her life premiering on the BBC next year. And THEN I found out that there’s a documentary about her (that I could access with my university library credentials), featuring Sue Perkins. AND THEN I found out that there’s already a movie about her life! And I watched the documentary and the movie and spent my morning feeling very gay. Highly suggested activity. 12/10.
+ Finding love as a brown queer girl
+ Hannah Hart is enGAYged!
+ Neopets are returning, and according to The Team, Neopets are queer culture. Now you know!

Hey, did you know that I’m making an RPG right now? It’s about a gay road trip to fight an ancient evil that has reemerged after 1000 years, and features LESBIAN FEELINGS and COMPLEX MECHANICS and PROBLEMS YOU CAN SOLVE WITH VIOLENCE pic.twitter.com/AeQVSDRD19

Okay, this was fun. I’ll see you next week. I have to go because per usual, I am running late for church. Have the best week you’ve ever had, or don’t, that’s actually a lot of pressure. Regardless of how your week goes, come back next Sunday for more of the best gay news of the week. Love you.
