Pivot TV has kicked off #takePRIDE month on the channel. They’ll be showing LGBTQ themed television and movies all month as part of the celebration and tonight at 9pm ET/6pm PT, they’re premiering The Better Half. The lesbian comedy webseries originally appeared online in 2013 and is based on the life of actual couple Lindsay Hicks and Amy Jackson Lewis. In the show, writers and co-creators Hicks and Lewis go through the everyday tasks involved with making a relationship function. Fellow Co-creators Leyla Perez and Christine Ng add more queer voices to the show as the Producer and Director of Photography.

I’m not sure how popular of a model putting a webseries in its web form on television will be, but it still seems important to support this endeavor. You can find out if you have Pivot and tune in tonight or watch the episodes VOD on Vimeo. The scheduled episodes along with relevant links are below!

Episode 1 “Going Out”
Long-term girlfriends Amy and Lindsay vow to end their nesting slump and finally go out for the evening. Things don’t go as planned.

Episode 2 “Sunny-side Up”
Amy and Lindsay decide their relationship has gone a little stale while reminiscing about how they met.

Episode 3 “Lesbifriends”
Amy and Lindsay enjoy a day with two of their friends, Angel and Cherry, both coming up with very different ideas for their next relationship adventure.
