Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people. Last week, we ate a bunch of spicy things.
It’s so hot outside that sometimes I feel like I might genuinely be melting into the sidewalk Alex Mack style, which means it’s the perfect time of year for chilled soups. They’re a hot-weather godsend, a source of comfort even when it’s too hot to slurp chicken broth. So grab a bowl and get ready to chill out, my friends. This is our moment.

An argument can be made that cereal in milk can also be a cold soup. ;}
Some of these do look really delicious though. I will have to make them and use my local Straddler family as guinea pigs for my cold soup adventures!
You are a genius! :P
YUM. THAT IS ALL.

Cold müesli is a god during the summer! Love love love it. I like mine with strawberries and Greek yogurt and coconut, or guayaba and a little cream cheese, or with pumpkin and brown sugar. And ALWAYS with chia. I like mine really thick (rolled oats with steel cut oats to add texture), but if you use steel cut oats, it’s much more of a soup.
oooooh v good suggestion!
i just came here to say that i saw this post on tumblr and was like “WHAT THE SHIT this looks so delicious i’ve got to check it out” before realizing that it was our post and in fact a post that i edited and scheduled, so good work all around, team

The slightly more grown up way of submitting to my inclination to live on V8 and avocados during the summer.

Omg yes thank you. Gazpacho & cold soup is literally my fave thing to eat all summer long. I’ll prob try and make at least 80% of those.
My AC is broken so it is so hot inside I might genuinely melt into my bed, but just reading this list was very cooling. Thank you! Imagine how cooling it will be when I actually eat them!
Hummus soup sounds like it could totally be my thing
