Helloooo, and happy 4th wedding anniversary to ME and also to JENNY and also to YOU ALL since we basically celebrated together this past Thursday! We covered some what-to-wear questions, talked about when your parents want to get TOO involved, hashed through things like father-daughter dances, and even hit you up with some budget thoughts. Oh, and we talked a bit about our own journey from dating to marriage! Tadaaaa.

Next week will be an off-week for GIBWK, but stay tuned for September’s schedule and some EXTREMELY EXCITING GUEST NEWS.

Hello! My name is Kristin Russo and I am a writer, speaker, educator and consultant with a focus on LGBTQ issues. I co-direct Autostraddle’s A-Camp, I co-founded Everyone Is Gay &  My Kid Is Gay and authored This is a Book for Parents of Gay Kids (Chronicle, 2014). I also worked as host and producer of First Person, a video series on gender and sexuality from PBS Digital and WNET & have a Master’s in Gender Studies from the CUNY Graduate Center. Last but certainly not least, I co-host & produce of Buffering the Vampire Slayer alongside musician Jenny Owen Youngs, which was named one of Time’s Top 50 Podcasts of 2018 and selected as one of Esquire’s Top 10 Podcasts of 2018!
