VIDEO! Getting In Bed with Kristin #7: Coming Out (to Others)

Hello and Happy Monday, Straddlers!

Do people say ‘Straddlers’?! That is a thing, right?! ANYWAY. Hi. Last week the topic of discussion & advice-giving was Coming Out to Others, building on the previous week’s topic of Coming Out to Yourself! I was so, so excited with all we were able to cover — coming out via letter vs in person, coming out for a second time, telling your mom before or after she comes to visit you, coming out to religious family, and of course the hard-hitting issue of when I knew that my wife was gay…

I think that in a few months we can revisit this topic again, since all of us are coming out to other people in about a billion ways every day. Rough estimate, but you get me! Our next episode will be happening on Tuesday, March 14th at 3pm PT, and I will have Mey Rude in bed with me to talk about Bisexuality!

  1. So a totally non AS related friend of mine was recently like hey have you ever seen Buffy because there is this podcast by these people and it’s amazing. And I was like OMG, is it buffering?? yes, I am aware of those particular celesbians.
what I’m saying is, you’re kind of a big deal with a lot of cultural influence :)

  2. I wonder how many of us had a first girlfriend with a unisex name? Mine was Sam.
