Role playing was absolutely fundamental to me understanding more about my own sexual desires. I had thought I was middle-of-the-road bi. But when I had to role play my female character in a romantic encounter with a female NPC, it lit up parts of me in ways I had never thought possible. Those experiences helped me to realize I was a lot more gay than I’d ever imagined.
