  1. but why do only more ‘masculine’ presenting women (and ruby) get praised for their looks?

i mean, they are stunning (!!!) but i can’t help but feel like this hyper-adorance for masculinity is rooted in internalised mysogyny.
not the loud and obvious kind of mysogyny.
and maybe the author just has a certain type – but over and over again, i feel like femme girls/women are kinda swept under the rug when it comes to get-the-look:queer representation.

(i am on the androgynous side, so i might be out of line or seeing things – i certainly don’t wanna talk over femme girls/women. it’s just something that has been bothering me, especially since i’ve witnessed a certain hostility towards femmes in queer spaces)

    • Maybe this is stating the obvious, but this is just a link to dapperQ’s top 100, and dapper is that sites baseline. As to femme invisibilty on autostraddle, I think I remember quiet a few pieces including carolyn and fit for a femme, doing a couple of different series on queer looks, maybe interviewing people? (P.s. I thought that interview series was awesome and id love to see it revived.)

Any other suggestions on how they could do something interesting and dedicated for the femmes? I was just trying to think of a spin on their autostraddle 100 hot things, 100 invisible things… but i think that would mostly end up being stuff from space… or labs.

  2. OMG! Esther Quek. Esther Quek. Esther Quek. The best dressed of all time, IMHO. Sigh…
