Cameron is an illustrator hailing from Ohio. When she’s not drawing, she’s probably very, very quietly having loud thoughts about: queer things, her eventual shop, what to watch next on Netflix, food, names for her future pets, and tumblr.
Cameron has written 76 articles for us.
*purr*
I go through long bouts of not wanting to fuck and then seemingly random moments when I do too! It’s a lot like how I enjoy my solitude for the most part but every now and then I like to hang out with people.
Unfortunately, I have no advice to share because I have never came out as asexual and I don’t have strong ties to any community. However, I do believe that people will be understanding especially if they are your friends. And if they’re not then they can go fuck themselves.
yes! also this comic is super cute <3
yesssssss thank you for this and for one more constellation of feelings to add the the “way people can be” gallery in my head for when I feel Not Quite Any/Something
*hugs*
Oh my gosh, I could’ve written this. Thank you for sharing this. My cat just sort of looks at me when we have conversations like this.
Yes! Absolutely! (I also have important conversations with my cats specifically because they cannot roll their eyes.)
<3
100% this.
I feel these feels acutely.
It’s all good :)
You are valid and welcome. You belong.
vulnerability = courage. Courageous folks are the best people to get to know.
I don’t have these conversations with my cats because of the slit eye stink eye look they give me is approximately 3000x worse than anyone rolling their eyes at me could be. But otherwise, completely relatable feels.
this comic is the spiritual successor to Dana Fairbanks coming out to Mr. Piddles

Comment award! BOOM!
I am so glad that you are part of this community!
I also love reading your comics every week, and this week is no exception <3
This is me exactly. Thanks so much for sharing <3
Oh my goodness, thank you for sharing this. Relating so hard to this right now. <3
You are here, we are here. And as an asexual who occasionally likes sex, you will definitely get questions. You will get people who say that your definition of yourself is wrong, because it doesn’t fit the narrative they built in their heads for you. But most people will accept you, and your cat will always be full of purrs and covered in fluff. And weirdly judgmental. Cats are the best. You are aces! (That was a pun)

My immediate reaction to the headline was "A-Something! Sounds like me!" followed by a quick slide to the reality that there are a lot of somethings other than asexuality that begin with the prefix "a," but THEN there was your comic, hell yes!!
Thank you, Cameron! Puzzling out my place on the asexual spectrum is currently a struggle for me, but you are cool.
If anyone gives you side eye about this, take the opportunity to come at them from the side from which they’re not throwing unwelcome judgement and just poke them in the eye.
This is me also.
Here for this as another A-Something <3
<3
i love you
Sending this to my perfect girlfriend immediately!
Well this is perfect.
<3 <3 <3 thank you for sharing, this was incredibly relatable
Firstly, thank you for this comic Cameron! I’m so glad you shared this here and not just with Sammie ;)
I really relate to this, though it took me a while to feel comfortable owning my place on the ace spectrum. AS feels like a very open and welcoming place, and I’m glad for the support here and for the number of people who voiced similar feelings. I see y’all and you’re wonderful <3
