Maddow and Ellen, Team Dreamboat, Talk Politics, Dancing and Jersey Shore

Today is National Coming Out Day, and I’d like to take this opportunity to come out as a human who, if forced to choose between Rachel Maddow and Ellen Degeneres, would have no fucking clue what to do. Also I’m a big ol’ queermo, but let’s stay on topic here: back to the women of my dreams.

In case you missed it, Rachel Maddow appeared on Ellen yesterday in a hilarious six minute segment that proved that if there is a god, I think she’s a dyke, and she loves us very much.

The show covered a lot of ground, including how Maddow feels about election season (“it’s Democracy Christmas!”), why Obama may have lost the first debate (but also why that’s okay), how Maddow feels about Prince Harry (“hunky!”), and how cool it is that the POTUS went on record supporting gay marriage — the last point was met by huge applause from the audience which was really sweet and made me grin even more than I already was grinning, which was a lot. They also talked about Jersey Shore, and how this season is “a little disappointing,” and then Maddow sort of imitated J-WOWW and then I died. Basically I’ve decided that this was The Best Ellen Show Since She And Michelle Obama Did Push Ups Together.

I’m not gonna spoil the whole clip, but I will tell you that it concludes with Maddow doing a really adorable imitation of the Gangnam Style dance. I know, I know. I’ll be rewatching this all morning. It’s gonna be a great day!
