  1. Madonna is my fave.

Also, my mom called me at work to tell me that Sullivan vetoed the ordinance and I almost cried. I know that most people don’t think it’s a big deal because it’s “just Alaska.” But for the people stuck up here it is a big deal. Especially for the seven assembly members that stuck their necks out and are more than likely not going to be voted back.

    • It’s not just Alaska — anywhere that a public official is able to say that discrimination against sexual orientation doesn’t exist is a shock to any American. (and i mean if nothing else, i think in the last presidential election we learned pretty well that Alaska is a part of our national conversation — which is an important thing for us to know, because the more people who are paying attention to what happens in Alaska, the more we can make good things happen in Alaska). So I can say; that sucks! I am sorry that this happened to the state that you live in.

Also though my first ever passionate blog reader (for my personal blog) that I didn’t know in real life was a bisexual high school girl from Alaska named Rachel and so therefore I will forever feel a great love for Alaska. Howevs she has since moved to Hawaii.

      • Indeed. Everyone and their grandma needs to listen to that song. You’re deff kicked out of the club if you don’t.

          • After I saw that Emily Haines was on there, I realized I had no choice but to have the entire album as soon as humanly possible. The tracklist is just SO! GOOD!

  2. that auto-straddler pic is like the kd lang/cindy crawford vanity fair cover vs. tipping the velvet. semi-related, my computer won’t play the rick astley vs. nirvana mashup that i found thanks to crystal’s link, and i’m sad. i just want to see the earth at night goddammit.
