Chill people unite: joggers are the new normal. Joggers live in the realm of clothes you wanna wear around the house during a Broad City marathon and keep wearing when you hit up the grocery store/ambiguous queer hangout/night out. Typically made of comfortable cotton jersey, these almost sweatpants have established a stronghold in the hearts of many a clothes-wearing human. Somewhere, my 15 year old self is rejoicing at the fact that sweatpants are cool again.
But just because these bottoms are casual doesn’t mean you gotta be frumpy. Gabi shows how you can lounge while lookin’ super badass. Seemingly effortless, the vest, hat and sunglasses elevate a tee and joggers into something with a little more… panache.
Full of ease and a delight to wear, joggers put the leisure in atheleisure… What are your favourite ways to be comfortably cool?
Oh, Hail the Goddess, comfortable, androgynous pants that might look good over my butt? This just might be a dream…
…though I predict the pictures whipped out in 10 years’ time may be currency for blackmail. :P
Whatever mastermind designed sweatpants to look stylish enough to wear out of the house should be given a million high fives.
LOVE joggers. They’re pretty much the only kind of pants I buy, now. They’re so versatile. I’ve got denim and leather pairs I wear to work all the time. They’re also GREAT for days when I’m bloated!
Can I just BE Gabi Fresh? PLEASE?
We all dream this dream. HOWWWWWW GABI. HOW!?!
Printed joggers with a jean jacket and flats. Yasss.
Yes Lydia!!! Hallelujah I love joggers. I sewed a pair a few weeks ago…gotta make some more.
I haven’t successfully found joggers that fit me because I’m short and have a big ass, so I have to size up to accomodate that, and they sort of bunch up weird around my ankles.
I do own one pair though that I wear camping, because I appreciate the elastic around the ankles that stops Mosquitos from flying up my pants. My best friend is anti-jogger and says that is the only appropriate occasion to wear them.
So true! I have some like the grey ones in the first picture, and I found them at Target! They’re very swishy and comfy around the waist and tight on the calves, so you can adjust them up to the knee or way below if you want to. I wear them to bed all the time. :D
