Jacqueline Toboni Is Engaged! She Proposed, Promptly Broke Into Hives, and Still Got the Girl!

“Thank you for making me laugh everyday. I can’t wait to do this forever. Love you.” And with those perfect words The L Word: Generation Q actor Jacqueline Toboni is engaged to Australian actor Kassandra Clementi.

Actors are very obviously not their characters, but if we were honest with ourselves for even a millisecond we can admit “The first pic is right before I proposed. The last is when we noticed I was so nervous I broke out in hives” is exactly the kind of adorable goof thing that we’d expect Finley to say.

Tobani’s castmates joined in on the celebrations right away. Rosanny Zayas chimed in, “I’m crying. I love you both!” and Jamie Clayton added “OMG 🥂🧡💯🥳🔝🪄” (and if anyone can decipher that emoji train, for the love of Bette Porter PLEASE let me know).

Here is the deal. I maaaaybe don’t always believe in love, I am perhaaaaps a forever member of #TeamLoveIsALie (to be clear — Never for Jacqueline!! Only for myself!) — but when you see two women kissing in the sunset next to the ocean looking like a damn Hallmark movie, it’s pretty hard not to get entangled in love’s web. And yeah, these two? They are greeting card perfect. Of that I think we can all agree. I’m incredibly happy to stand here in front of you all and proclaim that love won today.

So on behalf of everyone at Autostraddle, from the bottom of our heart, congratulations to Jacqueline and Kassandra on your engagement. We wish you so many sunset kisses in your future.

  1. I’m sure Jamie Clayton wasn’t actually suggesting that they celebrate by topping each other with a Magic Wand, but

  2. Upon waking up this morning, my wife told me she has bad news for me and that my girlfriend (!) is engaged to be married. Congrats, I guess! Our kid is pretty happy though that I am not leaving them to move to LA or whatever.

  3. I love this, and also as someone who is proposing next week (don’t worry, they don’t read autostraddle comments), I had never even CONSIDERED anxiety hives and now I’m VERY WORRIED ABOUT THEM.

  4. The characters have many different personalities and diversity. I like characters who are lovable but not too goofy. Playing geometry dash will take you to a fast-paced paradise.

  5. Nobody else than you can put a stop to your ambitions; no one else can do it for you. No one else has the power to do it. Instead of playing games like connect dots and roller baller, you should start doing actions that will bring your goals closer to becoming a reality.

  6. Love this so much. Thanks for keeping it real. I’m a former buttered-noodles kid (hold the parsley, ftlog) and managed to grow up into an enthusiastic and adventurous eater.
