I am getting my top chopped on December 13, so I will be spending Christmas sitting at a 45 degree angle, watching Disney Channel Original Movies and trying to stop my dog from launching herself onto my fragile human body. Surgery means I can’t travel (or lift my arms over my head), and there are of course all sorts of reasons people may feel a little stuck at home for the holigays. Maybe your bestie has a retail job and only gets like 11 hours off to celebrate. Maybe your favorite aunt has a chronic illness or disability that makes traveling a hassle. Maybe your Instagram friendcrush is dealing with family bullshit from a distance. Whatever has your loved one stranded at home this season, perhaps they could use a little holigay cheering up! May this list inspire you to snail mail someone you care about at their permanent address.

Time For Maximum Coziness

Soft clothes, a warm drink, and the flicker of candles seems like a dream come true when I’m stuck at home and feeling a little blue. Gifts like these will show you care and keep your pal warm and toasty.
Books to pass the time or catch up on the year’s best

These are all on my personal list, and I have a feeling they might be on the lists of some hot literary queers you know! Whether your loved one prefers to pass the time with a raunchy read, some queer YA, or the a critically acclaimed memoir or essay collection, books make great gifts. It’s science!
Decorations to make home feel like home

Help brighten up your giftee’s space so they feel at home even if they would rather be somewhere else. Queer art is the ultimate gift, so please share your favorite artists in the comments!
