Well, now that my Lady Vols are out of the NCAA tournament, it’s time to put the full force of my weight behind my favorite lesbian couples. How are your teams doing, in both tournaments?

+ And finally, I have a lot of feelings about this show de-gaying one of (if not the only?) neurodiverse queer character on TV.
Its a very weird choice for them to shift her perception of her sexuality given Josh Thomas’ own reasons for introducing her storyline in the first place: https://www.advocate.com/television/2020/3/12/everythings-gonna-be-okay-shows-dual-spectrum-autism-lgbtq
Maybe there’s more to the storyline than “she’s straight actually” (or at least I hope so). The storyline could be how she’s affected by biphobia in some way that makes her question if she should be/ allowed to date girls, although if the show is trying to go down this more complex avenue its a strange choice to highlight it like this in the trailer because what they cut together definitely plays into it as a phase.
IDK. I’ve never watched the show, but I just watched the trailer and I read it as denial of the truth for some reason.
Maybe b/c it’s set in a comedy and other characters were reacting over the top and it’s generally silly?
Maybe because I’m queer, and I never believe the “it’s a phase” excuse?
But I’d hate for it to be something like that and I don’t care about the show. And you’re right it’s my own history driving my assumption the queer denial in not real.
The only discussion of Ammonite’s sex scene I wanna have is how Kate Winslet thought rescheduling the sex scene to be on her costars birthday would be in anyway okay and not creepy?
Wow, the 10th anniversary of Santana’s coming out. What a treasure of a character, what a big heart Naya Rivera had. I cried multiple times over multiple days when the news of her death came out.
I think Santana was the first queer woman character I ever saw on TV. That was before I even knew that I was queer myself.
Her memory is a blessing to us.
