It’s Wednesday and this is your Pop Culture Fix!

+ Charlize Theron said:

+ And then Aisha Tyler said:

+ And I am sold!

+ Speaking of thrillers, Queen Latifah’s got a new one called End of the Road coming to Netflix!

+  The second Euphoria special will focus on Jules and is called “F*ck Anyone Who’s Not a Sea Blob.” It will land on HBO on January 24th.

+ grown-ish is back on January 21st.

+ We’re getting a second season of Feel Good!

+ Bi Selena star Noemi Gonzalez on queer Latinx representation in Hollywood.

+ I love this series at the AV Club: Harley Quinn and 3% explore what happens after you tear it all down.

+ TVLine has a first look at Riverdale‘s season five prom. Toni and Cheryl are there together; I wonder if they’ll get any lines to say out loud.

+ You can watch Viola Davis’ full 60 Minutes interview from Sunday night and you absolutely should.

+ The Glee cast is honoring Naya Rivera with a holiday fundraiser.

+ Pop Culture’s department stores taught us what to want for Christmas.

+ And finally, Slate’s review of A New York Christmas wedding is maybe my favorite headline of 2020: Ballad of a Flamboyantly Gay Dead Fetus.

  1. Dammit, I missed the “want” in the headline and thought the Die Hard remake was real. Such a happy few minutes…

    • scene opens: gentle snow falls. music (carolers) in the distance. footfalls in the snow are heard. the camera pans to follow footprints in the snow. it catches up to feet, in slippers, walking to a green recycle bin. a voice, slightly distant, is heard,

      “darling…”

the feet speed up. the voice is louder,

      “DARLING…”

the camera pans up (Aisha) is pouring (elegant) food scraps in the green waste bin as other footsteps are heard. the off-camera voice gets closer,

“why do you insist on coming out here without your boots? if you get frostbite, and i am without your lovely toes to kiss…”

(Charlize, in proper snow footwear) – with a kiss – picks (Aisha) up, cradling her in her arms, and carries (Aisha) back to the house.

(Aisha): (giggle) i love you, too, worry wart.

ominous music replaces the carolers. the view changes to be through a lens as a pictures of the couple are taken.

      end scene.

  2. That last link was my favourite, because wtf is going on in that movie? I think I’m going to hatewatch it soon because that article was a wild ride.

  3. Everytime I see Charlize Theron’s name or face, I hope it is going to be about her coming out.

    One can dream.

In the meantime, I will settle for her playing all the queer badass roles.
