Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Ahh, toast. Nature’s edible plate. The perfect base for so many foods, both mushy and crunchy, from sweet to sour. There’s simply nothing that wouldn’t be improved by slapping it on top of a warm, crispy piece of bread. It’s all too easy, though, to give in to the simplicity of buttered toast, among the quickest and most comforting snacks. This week, I want to inspire you to move beyond the simple buttered slice. Expand your boundaries, explore the opportunities your pantry affords you to turn an unassuming loaf of bread (or bread-like substance) into an elegant, scrumptious little toasty treat.
