Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people.
Smoothies are amazing! They’re fruity and cold and you can even sneak vegetables into them! They’re easy to make ahead too, so if you’re like me and wake up three hours before you need to be somewhere but don’t get out of bed until ten minutes before you’ll be late, you’re good!
Smoothies are also the perfect breakfast/lunch/snack/any meal now that it’s beginning to get warmer. Honestly, nothing is better than cold fruit giving you a brain freeze on a warm day. It makes you feel alive and invigorated! I also feel like I’m on my way to big things when I make a smoothie because every time I use my Vitamix I feel like a domestic goddess with no student debt, a clean house, with a full-time job, a 401K and an IRA. Some of these smoothies are your traditional fruit-yogurt-ice combinations, but some of them have things like jalepeños, chia seeds, protein powder. Some are even vegan! There’s something for whatever your smoothie-deprived heart desires. It’s time for you to find your best smoothie to help you be your best self. Which one are you gonna try?

That chocolate banana peanut butter shake has changed my life. I came across the recipe months ago and now it is my number 1 go-to smoothie. I make it easily once a week or more, and my partner loves it too (and she doesn’t like most smoothies because they are too sweet). Sometimes I throw in some protein powder for an extra boost. Keeps me full and focused for hours. 10/10 will blend again.
Alaina, this inspired me to create a healthy green smoothie for breakfast – which I liked so much that I made it again for an early dinner! you are just the best.

I genuinely think that Autostraddle have a wire tap on my brain, because the amount of times I’ve been thinking about things and then there’s a new article about it is crazy?!
I just got home for the summer and my mum has a Nutribullet, so I’ve been trying to figure out how to make some nice smoothies for us.
Think I might try to make all of these over the coming months, starting with the peach green tea one!
