One time someone made brownies and said there was a secret ingredient and then they told us the ingredient so it wasn’t secret anymore. Also, everyone could already tell what it was. It was coffee. As far as secret ingredients go, I don’t find that too exciting. Have you seen The Help? Now that’s a secret ingredient.
This episode is about:
1. Protesting emergency tampon prices in the restaurant
2. Coupons
3.Max’s homemade cupcakes not being homemade.
You would think Caroline would have noticed the box mix since she’s seen her make cupcakes dozens of time but ’tis not the case.
The “young people please relate to this show” joke
Max: You thought Occupy Wall Street was a big deal? Wait ’til you see Occupy Tampon.
The dark joke
Caroline: Get better soon? I thought you said it was a birthday card.
Max: It is. That’s the only that seemed appropriate for our relationship.
The edgy joke
Caroline: And it’s for 40% off the regular price.
Max: That’s perfect because my mom was 40% off a regular mom.
The non-PC joke
Caroline: I’ll be real quick. Ten minutes. In and out.
Max: If I had a coupon for every time I heard that from a guy.
The “is that racist?” joke
Earl: White people will adopt anything.
The vagina joke
Customer: I’m a little embarrassed. I just got my period.
Max: Mazel tov.
The joke that leads to a lot of questions
The Williamsburg coupon queen is black? WHAT A SURPRISE.
If you missed it, Max’s talks about what a terrible parent her mom was which led to BOY TROUBLE and also LACK OF SKILLS. Sub-par parenting equals relationship problems and general incompetence. So remember, blame all of your shortcomings on your parents or lack thereof and whatever you do, don’t take responsibility for your own actions.
dont 4get “Ke$hamed”!
I kept pondering how much Duncan Hines paid for the repeated product placement.
they didn’t pay for it
They said coupon so many times it doesn’t sound like a real word anymore
and we got a cameo by Chestnut
On a completely un-“Two Broke Girls”-related note..Where in the world have you been?? I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!!
Was the customer asking for tampons Fay Wolf?
Yup.
i honestly believe my life would be a lot better if my mom had taught me how to extreme coupon. i guess that’s kind of unrelated though.
I watched this episode and thought of you.
Then I went to whole foods and used a coupon on a sale item and saved $2 which seemed like a really big deal at the time.
